This twin-fin mid-length is an adaptation of the Duo Diamond. The outline remains very similar to the original, but we have adjusted the rocker and bottom contours—featuring a less pronounced concave—to ensure it performs as a true performance mid-length. The combination of a relatively pronounced rocker and a narrower outline delivers excellent response time and maneuverability.
For those coming from a high-performance surfing background who are looking for a versatile and maneuverable mid-length, this is the ideal model; as a twin-fin, it offers lightning-fast rail-to-rail transitions. Should you wish to experiment with different sensations, there is a single-fin option for a more mellow, “down-the-line” surf, as well as a thruster option for a more predictable and familiar feel. Please note that for both of these alternative setups, the channel must be removed.
Mid-length boards have an intermediate size, sitting right between a shortboard and a longboard. They offer better stability and comfort, and are quite maneuverable due to their refined outline, rocker, and less pronounced concave.
Sizes typically range from 6’6″ to 7’6″. The smaller the board, the more agile it becomes with less glide; the larger it is, the slower the response time and the greater the glide. The sensation of glide is essentially “floating” on the wave, feeling high above the water’s surface. Consequently, the larger the board, the less need there is for lateral pumping to generate speed, as the board’s own length and weight contribute to momentum just by trimming up and down the face of the wave.
Surfboards are available in PU (polyurethane foam) and Epoxy (EPS or XPS foam), if you want to understand more about twin fin surfboards check out our article on how to choose a twin fin.

Mid-length surfboards are made for good floatation, fluid turns, and flow, while still maintaining decent maneuverability. They offer glide but with a more practical and maneuverable approach, this type of board varies from 6’6 to 8’0, they are ideal for surfers that want something in between a longboard and a shortboard.
They are great to draw classic lines but without leaving performance behind, the bigger the board, the more glide and paddle power it will have. The shorter the board, the more maneuverable and agile it’s going to be.
For the surfer that is after that classic mellow 70’s single fin ride, but with some modern touches to it, we recommend our Space Cruiser. It comes in single fin or 2+1 options.
If the surfer is seeking a performance feel with great rail-to-rail transition we recommend our twin fin Duo Diamond Mid Length. It can also have different fin configurations that add a lot of versatility and maneuverability to the board.
Our Spearfish and The Alternative models are great for fatter and less powerful waves.
